On October 20, the Consulate General hosted the China-India BRICS Dialogue Seminar in Mumbai. Consul General Qin Jie attended the event and delivered a keynote address. Renowned Indian scholars, Think Tank, and representatives from mainstream media were in attendance.

Consul General Qin stated that the BRICS mechanism continues to grow and flourish, serving as a "golden brand" for Global South solidarity and cooperation. During his attendance at the 18th BRICS Summit, President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech that elevated the strategic positioning of BRICS cooperation across four dimensions: development, security, civilization, and governance, which will effectively guide the high-quality development of "Greater BRICS Cooperation." Qin emphasized that China and India should adhere to the strategic guidance of the leaders of both nations, meet each other halfway, and serve as a stable, progressive force in a world intertwined with changes and turmoil, contributing to regional and global peace and prosperity.

Mr. Kulkarni and others noted that President Xi Jinping's important speech has pointed the direction for the future development of BRICS, emphasizing that India and China should continue to strengthen cooperation under BRICS and other frameworks. They expressed expectation that next year's BRICS Summit in China will become a new milestone in BRICS cooperation.
